The Hardware
Universal 4G VoLTE gateway with built-in, standards-compliant battery backup and a high-gain external antenna for deep-shaft and basement penetration.
January 2027 is the UK PSTN landline switch‑off. Are your lifts compliant?
LiftPulse is a universally compatible 4G VoLTE digital communication & realtime monitoring system. Keep your existing lift maintenance provider, ensure EN 81‑28 compliance, and gain instant visibility across your entire estate.
EN 81‑28 compliant · Universal compatibility · Works with all autodiallers
The deadline is fixed
Every lift emergency line still running on a PSTN or analogue connection will go silent — and Openreach is already migrating exchanges region by region, not just on deadline day. A lift with a dead emergency line is a trapped-passenger risk and a compliance failure.
Time left to switch

We ship a complete, pre-configured system. It replaces your existing BT line in minutes — Plug&Play simplicity.
Days 1–30
Get 30 days of free access to our live cloud dashboard. See heartbeat signals, battery health and test calls in real time.
Day 30
Satisfied with the pilot? Roll it out across your estate on our OpEx plans. Not convinced? Return it at no cost.
Why LiftPulse
Traditional intermediaries tie your emergency comms to their maintenance contract. We don’t.
Our hardware is universally adaptable. You retain total freedom to switch lift maintenance contractors without ripping out your emergency comms infrastructure.
Convert heavy, unexpected capital expenditure into a predictable operational expense across your estate.
Protect yourself against insurance liabilities and H&S failures. Download timestamped compliance reports — EN 81‑28 3‑day test calls, power loss, battery alerts — directly from your cloud dashboard.

OEM & white label
The whole LiftPulse platform — portal, alerts and compliance reports — delivered in your company’s livery, ready to sell to your own clients.
Add remote monitoring and EN 81‑28 compliance reporting to every service contract you hold — on a portal that carries your name, not ours.
Give landlords and portfolio clients a branded visibility dashboard across every building you manage.
Bundle lift monitoring into your managed-services stack. We run the hardware, SIMs and platform — you own the client relationship.
If your question is not answered, get in touch.
No. Qualifying volume is based on the total units on a single contract order — lifts do not need to be in the same building, or even the same town. A managing agent with three lifts across four sites qualifies exactly the same as one building with twelve.
Our system is 100% brand-agnostic. Installing our unit gives you total freedom — if you switch lift maintenance contractors later, you keep your comms system. Don’t get locked into proprietary hardware.
Check your existing terms with your incumbent provider, but LiftPulse replaces the BT line and nothing else. We don’t touch the lift, the controller, or the emergency phone itself — the phone you already have keeps working exactly as it does today, it simply stops depending on a copper line. In effect we supply the line, not a change to the lift.
Not for a lift. A digital voice line runs over your broadband router and mains power, so in a power cut — precisely when someone is most likely to be trapped — it stops working unless that router has its own battery backup. Most lift machine rooms have no broadband at all. LiftPulse runs on the mobile network with its own standards-compliant battery backup, so the lift line keeps working when the building doesn’t.
Because you can no longer order a new analogue line or move an existing one — Openreach’s stop-sell has been nationwide since 2023. Any refurbishment, new lift, line fault or relocation strands you on the day it happens. Exchanges also migrate region by region well ahead of the final date, not on it. The lifts that get caught out are the ones waiting for a letter.
The most common worry, and the easiest one to settle. Every unit ships with a high-gain external antenna built for deep shafts and basements, and a multi-network roaming SIM that locks onto whichever operator is strongest rather than being tied to one. If you’re unsure, run the 30-day pilot on your most difficult lift — that is exactly what it is for, and it costs you nothing if the signal isn’t there.
That caution is well earned — many units sold as “GSM” were 2G or 3G only, and 3G has now been retired across every UK network. LiftPulse is 4G VoLTE, the technology the networks are consolidating onto rather than retiring from, and the roaming SIM means you are not tied to any single operator’s timetable.
Whoever you choose. The unit dials any number you nominate — your own facilities desk, the alarm receiving centre you already use, or a third-party answering service. We place no restriction on where the alarm lands and tie you to no particular provider. Worth remembering that EN 81-28 expects the alarm to reach a permanently attended point, so whichever route you pick needs to be covered around the clock.
Up to 4 hours on standby, and around an hour of live talk time. EN 81-28 expects the alarm to remain operable for at least an hour after mains failure, so the standby figure gives you four times the margin the standard asks for.
You wouldn’t have to notice. Each unit sends a regular heartbeat and places an automated test call every three days, and the dashboard flags a missed heartbeat, a mains power loss or battery degradation as it happens. A dead line reaches you as an alert, not as a trapped passenger.
You get direct login credentials to our cloud portal. Pull automated, timestamped reports showing every 3-day test call, heartbeat and power event across your estate — instantly.
For orders of 6 or more lifts across your portfolio, you don’t need a CapEx budget. Our zero-upfront models cover the hardware, battery, antenna, SIM and software under a single, predictable OpEx fee.
You commit for the initial term shown in the pricing table — 24 or 36 months. After that it continues on the same terms rather than being repriced, and 60 days’ notice before a renewal date ends it. No renegotiation, and none of the renewal price rises this industry is known for.
It transfers. If the building changes hands or the management contract moves, we roll the subscription over to the incoming owner or agent — no cancellation, no reinstallation, nothing to unpick. The unit stays where it is and keeps working.
